Happy thanksgiving day to you!!

Hello everyone! 

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving day.

It is a holiday celebrated  in the United States and Canada. 

Thanksgiving day is celebrated each year on the fourth Thursday of November in the U.S. and on the second Monday of October in Canada. 

Because of the long-standing traditions of the holiday, the celebration often extends to the weekend that falls closest to the day it is celebrated. 

Several other places around the world observe similar celebrations. 

Historically, Thanksgiving had roots in religious and cultural tradition. Today, Thanksgiving is primarily celebrated as a secular holiday.

María Auxiliadora´s festivity

Our school celebrated María Auxiliadora´s day last Thursday and Friday. We had lots of activities. The students enjoyed so much.


We had a mass, several games and lots of things to have a good day. Furthermore, we made a Lip dub. It was pretty funny!!


On Friday, all the students ate at school. We ate pasta...It was delicious...Yummy Yummy!!! To end with the festivity, we had the intercultural meeting. Different cultures showed us their way of living and their food.
We liked so much!!!

Trip from 4º EP- Premio de Medio Ambiente

Roxana, a student from 4th year won a competition about our environment. She won a bike and a trip!!!
Her class and I went to Autol. The guides explained us the wind power. It was really interesting to see how energy arrives to our homes....
After visiting Autol, we went to Alfaro, a typical city from La Rioja for its storks. There were hundred of them on the roof of the houses.
We really enjoyed. 
 Thank you Roxana for winning it!!!


Roxana, alumna de 4º de Primaria, ganó el primer premio de medio ambiente de la CADENA COPE. Le regalaron una bici y...algo para que lo pudiera compartir con su clase... 

UN VIAJE..!!! 

Nos fuimos a Autol a ver un parque eólico y para que nos explicaran qué es la energía eólica. Pudimos ver de cerca los molinos...y hasta tocarlos...!! También nos enseñaron la sala de ordenadores desde donde lo controlan todo.

Disfrutamos muchísimo de esta visita guiada...

Después de almorzar, nos fuimos a un pueblo precioso de La Rioja, llamado Alfaro. Este pueblo es muy típico porque anualmente le visitan cigüeñas que fabrican sus nidos en los tejados del pueblo.

Además nos dio tiempo para entrar en La Colegiata y rezar un poquito.

Ahhhh......también nos dio tiempo para jugar...!!

2ºciclo-Somalo 2011-2012

Hola a todos!!
Hi everyone!!
Como bien hemos comentado en el blog de primaria, nuestros alumnos se lo pasaron bomba en Somalo. Aprendiero muchísimo y se divirtieron más...
La actividad de inglés que realizé fue muy divertida y era una continuidad de la actividad que previamente había realizado Don Jesús. 
Formé 4 grupos. A cada grupo se le asignó un color. Cada color tenía diferentes sobres y en cada sobre una actividad diferente. Con esta prueba, los alumnos pudieron trabajar las cinco destrezas del inglés: speaking-talking-listening-writing-reading.
La primera consistía en ordenar los flascards sobre el crecimiento de la viña, desde la preparación de la tierra hasta que el vino llega a la mesa. 

La siguiente prueba era sobre los colores de la bandera de La Rioja. Como estábamos con el tema ESPAÑA, pues era muy buena idea enseñar a nuestr@s chic@s el significado de los cuatro colores de nuestra bandera. Después de escuchar detenidamente mi explicación, tenían que escribir y pintar lo que habían aprendido.

Como traca final para esta actividad, hubo una explicación sobre la vid. Escribieron cada parte en su sitio y decoraron cada uno la suya.

Seguidamente, aproveché la ocasión para que, entre ellos, repasasen contenidos aprendidos durante el curso.

Aunque también aprovecharon para divertirse!!!

Day of Europe

Today is the day of Europe.
Our school has celebrated it as it deserves. All the pupils (nursery, primary and secondary) have met at the playground to celebrate that Spain entered the EU in 1986.

We have had several activities about this day.
The EU is made up of 27 countries living together in peace and stability.
Our students have written a letter to a friend who lives in one of the countries of the European Union.
